There is a small amount of ease that has been added to the back of the sleeve, above the yoke before the shoulder seam. The two notches are the beginning and end..

My favorite method for easing, is dental floss! It glides, won’t snap when you gather and pulls out easily once your sleeve is in.

Pin your sleeve in, using the notch points.

Start at the side seam

Then the shoulder seam notch

The front notch

Then the back notch, gathering your floss to ease that section in.

Sew slowly at 5/8” starting at the side seam and working from the front to the back.
